Winding down

As the challenge starts winding down our group is continuously working harder and harder to complete all of our tasks and spread the word about our ideas. With only about half a week left to work and submit we need YOU guys to spread the word and help us. Any support we get can help us to win first place. With only about three or four days of the challenge left we have just put the water cress into the pipeline and put that into the water with pool noodles underneath to make it float. Our team is also collecting more and more data each day. We hope that with all the effort we put into this we will have a good chance of winning. SO LETS FINISH OUT STRONG #ONEPLANET #ONELIFE

LEXUS ECO CHALLENGE PART 2:

Our stem group at Western Hills Middle School was given the opportunity to submit an entry for the Lexus Eco Challenge. We worked hard to make a creative idea to improve the air in our community. As a team we came up with an idea, made an experiment, and created a slide show. We were lucky enough to be one of the eight schools in America who won money for our school, STEM advisers, and ourselves.

Now as we make our way through the second stage of the challenge, we have been working on ways to help our environment. Our latest idea involves growing edible plants in water. These plants also clean the water and keep it fresh. This will give a source of food and fresh water!
